FuntoberFest ready for Saturday, October 4

Wow! Fall is just around the corner and with it comes the great activities associated with FuntoberFest -- the autumn event in downtown Grayson. CLICK HERE for the schedule of events.

The chili-fest, the style show, the costume parade, the pumpkins -- all your favorites will be back this year. The date to remember is Saturday, October 4. Michelle Dickerson and Sherry Clouser are teamed up to chair this fun-filled day and would love your input and help. Contact either of them to see how you can be a part of the fun.

Joint Meeting with Olive Hill Chamber

Facilitator Jill Jayne Read will join the members of the Olive Hill and Grayson Chambers of Commerce at an evening session on the campus of KCU on August 21, 2008. The purpose of the meeting is to explore the options for growth that exist within Carter County and how a "Lead Agency" concept and organization might enhance the prospects of economic success for the county.

The meeting will be in the Smith Building, KCU, at 7 pm.

Chamber Golf Scramble moves to Fall

Tee and hole sponsors are sought for the GACC Golf Scramble that is set for September 20 at Hidden Cove Golf Course. The Saturday event will feature the fabulous course, lunch, beverages and will benefit the programs of the chamber. Team entry is $300 and hole or tee sponsorships are only $50. To participate as a golfer, sponsor or volunteer on the day of the event -- contact Rob Roar or Don Combs.
